A/S Smiltnieki dibināta 1991.gadā un darbības pamatvirzieni ir betona un dzelzsbetona izstrādājumu ražošana. 1993.gadā uzsākta bruģakmens, keramzītbetona sienas bloku, grodu un citu betona izstrādājumu ražošana.
Bruģis, ceļu un ietvju apmales, keramzītbetona bloki, grodi u.c. tiek ražoti no attiecīga betona maisījuma ar vibropresēšanas metodi. Šī metode ļauj iegūt precīzas izstrādājumu ģeometriskās formas, vajadzīgo spiedes un sala izturību. Ražošanā tiek pielietoti sertificēti vietējie materiāli, saistviela – cements un pildvielas- skalotas smiltis.
Produkcija tiek izgatavota ar vai bez krāsu pigmentiem.
Ražotā produkcija ir ekoloģiski tīra un plaši pielietojama.
